Argentorate - the Roman name of the city of Strasbourg is the title of a small exhibition held at the archaeological museum in Strasbourg. This museum is housed in the Palais Rohan. He took up his quarters in the basement of the palace, one would almost say it's common sense to an archaeological museum.

This exhibition focuses on objects found during the recent excavations that took place at different locations in the city of Strasbourg. These objects corroborate the knowledge developed from the Roman period the city of Strasbourg from the first century AD, the city served as a Roman legion camp. Objects out of the ground tell us about the lives of soldiers and their food as evidenced by oyster shells, remnants of citrus and olive oil. The supply is provided by the Roman Empire.

"Strasbourg - Argentorate" this small exhibit very intimate, through various models such as those of soldiers home whose walls were covered with frescoes, offers visitors the opportunity to make a living idea that distant chapter in the history of their city.
